The Farmastery at Spalding Valley is the physical anchor of the ecosystem — a learning commons, micro-retreat space, experimental research station, and home base for lifeboat-builders. People visit for solo or team retreats, exploratory residencies, timeshare homesteads, regenerative demonstration projects, seasons of reset or reflection, testing ideas in embodied space, and Farmastery-hosted gatherings, workshops and circles.

Some people come here not for their personal lifeboat, but on behalf of a nonprofit, a network, a social or community justice project, an informal coalition, a land trust, coop, or co-housing community, a land stewardship group, or an emerging collective.
They are looking for help transitioning to collaborative, peer-based governance, navigating increasingly challenging waters, healing old wounds caused by patterns that don’t work any more, and tapping into the collective wisdom already in the group.
Our work with the group often involves action research and developmental evaluation, network and relationship mapping, integrated peace circle practices, land governance patterning, transition economics, network-of-networks weaving, and cross-pollination with other near allies.
